On 18 February, three Syrian students from the University of Damascus and one student from the University of Jordan began their academic mobility at the IUAV University of Venice within the framework of the COMMO IX Project, funded by the Erasmus+ ICM Program. Their experience started with a warm welcome during the Welcome Day, where they joined other students and were introduced to the academic environment and the international community of the university.
This mobility represents an important opportunity both for the partner universities and for the students involved. While it contributes to strengthening academic connections between institutions, it also allows students to experience a new academic setting and cultural context, encouraging exchanges with peers and faculty members.At a time marked by complex global challenges and tensions, initiatives that encourage dialogue and mutual understanding are particularly valuable. Through the COMMO Project, we continue to promote international academic cooperation, recognising the important role that higher education plays in fostering intercultural dialogue as well as building meaningful and peaceful connections between cultures and communities.
